When staying in Meloneras you are within easy walking distance of miles of beaches and coastline and the Natural Reserve of the Maspolomas Sand Dunes. Not to mention a Casino, shopping centers and designer shops, many restaurants and bars and great scenery and performing artists along the promenade. Moonlight Cinema (where I once worked) offers a great open rooftop Cinema experience. The nightlife of Playa Del Ingles is also only a short taxi ride away. This area tends to wind down fairly early in comparison to Playa Del Ingles. Theres no night clubs or late night bars that I know of, its more family orientated and offers a luxury peaceful getaway with a multitude of 5 star resorts. The costlne is very open and you can see miles of beach and sea from practically anywhere along the promenade.
This is probably my favourite area in the south, the beach is really nice, the shops and shopping centers are a delight to walk around and you just feel safe and at ease around here.
It is considered the 5 star area – the rich area. It has a promenade consisting of some of the best hotels on the island, most hotels here being 5 star. You have to pay a premium to stay in some of these, but there are bungalow/apartment rentals in the area too.
You can get some good deals in these hotels if you shop around, the first time I came to the island, I stayed in the H10 which is a fantastic 5 star hotel at the far end of the strip inext to a beautiful beach, i paid roughly £500 for 6 nights and it seemed good value.
